Common variants contribute to intrinsic human brain functional networks
Bingxin Zhao,Tengfei Li,Stephen M. Smith,Di Xiong,Xifeng Wang,Yue Yang,Tianyou Luo,Ziliang Zhu,Yue Shan,Nana Matoba,Quan Sun,Yuchen Yang,Mads E. Hauberg,Jaroslav Bendl,John F. Fullard,Panagiotis Roussos,Weili Lin,Yun Li,Jason L. Stein,Hongtu Zhu +19 more
TL;DR: Hundreds of novel genetic loci associated with intrinsic functional signatures are identified, including associations to the central executive, default mode, and salience networks involved in the triple network model of psychopathology, to discover and validate common genetic variants influencing intrinsic brain activity.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors leveraged whole-genome sequencing (WGS) data in up to 62,653 ethnically diverse participants from the NHLBI Trans-Omics for Precision Medicine (TOPMed) program and assessed statistical association of variants with seven red blood cell (RBC) quantitative traits.
Journal ArticleDOI
