Purging of Contaminating Breast Cancer Cells from Hematopoietic Stem Cell Grafts by Adenoviral GAL-TEK Gene Therapy and Magnetic Antibody Cell Separation
Frank C. Marini,Virginia Snell,Qingnan Yu,Xin Zhang,S. Eva Singletary,Richard E. Champlin,Michael Andreeff +6 more
TL;DR: A new technique for purging breast cancer cells (BCCs) that combines two independent strategies: the specific enrichment of CD34+ progenitor stem cells by magnetic antibody cell separation (MACS) and infection of the contaminating BCCs with a recombinant adGAL-TEK marker/suicide gene adenovirus (ad-v), followed by the addition of ganciclovir (GCV).
Journal ArticleDOI
Neutropenias following allogeneic bone marrow transplantation: Response to therapy with high-dose intravenous immunoglobulin
TL;DR: Two cases of neutropenia after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation that improved after therapy with high‐dose intravenous immunoglobulin are described.
