Annelot Wismans,Srebrenka Letina,Srebrenka Letina,Karl Wennberg,Karl Wennberg,Roy Thurik,Rui Baptista,Andrew Burke,Marcus Dejardin,Marcus Dejardin,Frank Janssen,Enrico Santarelli,Olivier Torrès,Ingmar H.A. Franken +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the relationship between impulsivity and delay discounting and compliance with COVID-19 restrictions on the other hand, and found that the self-reported personality construct of impulsivity is negatively related to both types of compliance behavior.
Journal ArticleDOI
A decade of research on the genetics of entrepreneurship: a review and view ahead
TL;DR: In this article, the authors argue that the benefits of using individual genetic variants for empirical research in the entrepreneurship domain are likely to be small, and instead, the use of summary indices comprising multiple genetic variants, so-called polygenic risk scores, is advocated.
Book ChapterDOI
From the Managed to the Entrepreneurial Economy: Considerations for Developing and Emerging Economies
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors pointed out that with the arrival of knowledge as a production factor, the world of business becomes dominated by exporting giant firms, and they further predicted that this would render self-employment and small firms even more futile.
The relationship between business ownership and unemployment in Spain: a matter of quantity or quality?
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the interrelations between self-employment and unemployment rates for Spain in the period 1972-2004, comparing them with the general pattern observed for OECD countries, and argued that an increase in the quality of business ownership in Spain may also have contributed to the recent decrease in the unemployment rate.

TL;DR: Bioinformatics analyses imply that genes near general-risk-tolerance-associated SNPs are highly expressed in brain tissues and point to a role for glutamatergic and GABAergic neurotransmission.
