Daniel C. Koboldt, +355 more
- 04 Oct 2012 -
TL;DR: The ability to integrate information across platforms provided key insights into previously defined gene expression subtypes and demonstrated the existence of four main breast cancer classes when combining data from five platforms, each of which shows significant molecular heterogeneity.

Pharmacogenetics of Tamoxifen Biotransformation Is Associated With Clinical Outcomes of Efficacy and Hot Flashes

TL;DR: In tamoxifen-treated patients, women with the CYP2D6 *4/*4 genotype tend to have a higher risk of disease relapse and a lower incidence of hot flashes, which is consistent with the previous observation that CYP3A5*3 variant was not associated with any of these clinical outcomes.

FKBP51 affects cancer cell response to chemotherapy by negatively regulating Akt.

TL;DR: It is shown that FKBP51 acts as a scaffolding protein for Akt and PHLPP and promotes dephosphorylation of Akt, and is downregulated in pancreatic cancer tissue samples and several cancer cell lines.
