TL;DR: In this article, the influence of electrospinning parameters on the morphology, the water wetting property and dye adsorption property of poly(methyl methacrylate) nanofiber mats was investigated.
Abstract: In this study, the aim is to describe the influence of electrospinning parameters on the morphology, the water wetting property and dye adsorption property of poly(methyl methacrylate) nanofiber mats. Specifically, the effects of solution concentration, solvent type, applied voltage, distance between the electrodes and particulate reinforcement on the diameter and shape of the nanofibers were investigated. All poly(methyl methacrylate) nanofiber mats contained beaded nanofiber structures. With increasing the polymer solution concentration, the average fiber diameter also increased. Poly(methyl methacrylate) nanofiber mat electrospun from dimethylformamide solution resulted in thicker fibers when compared with the mat electrospun from acetone solution. Increasing the electric potential difference between the collector and the syringe tip did not increase the average fiber diameter. Besides increasing the distance between the electrodes resulted in a decrease in the average fiber diameter. When comp...

TL;DR: This case report is about concurrence of chronic granulomatous mastitis with breast cancer, which is the 4th case where IGM and breast cancer are present concurrently.
Abstract: Idiopathic Granulomatous Mastitis (IGM) is a rare, chronic, non-malignant and non-life-threatening breast disease. IGM may mimic carcinoma of the breast. This case report is about concurrence of chronic granulomatous mastitis with breast cancer. The important aspect of this case is that it is the 4th case where IGM and breast cancer are present concurrently.

TL;DR: There was a great variability between landraces in terms of the characters recorded, and alfalfa landraced collected from Ercis and Gevas appeared to have high green and dry matter yields.
Abstract: This study was conducted to collect, evaluate and conserve alfalfa landraces grown in Van province, East Anatolia in 2009-2011. Ten counties were visited and 66 alfalfa landraces were collected. The seed samples were sent to Aegean Agricultural Research Institute for long term conservation. With other 4 populations collected from university campus, a total of 70 alfalfa accessions with seven standards (controls) were grown in an augmented trial design with 5 replicates. Cultivar Elci had the highest green and dry matter yields. There was a great variability between landraces in terms of the characters recorded. Green, dry matter and crude protein yields of landraces were in the range of 24.67-103.21 t ha-1, 6.04-24.26 t ha-1, and 1.07-4.96 t ha-1, respectively. Landraces collected from Ercis and Gevas appeared to have high green and dry matter yields

TL;DR: Postoperative outcomes are significantly affected by lateral compartment OA progression but not by patellofemoral OAgression, and mild radiographic progression of 1 KL grade is frequently seen five to 10 years after medial UKA.
Abstract: Background The purpose of the study was to evaluate lateral and patellofemoral osteoarthritis (OA) progression after medial unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) and identify factors affecting the progression that were not identified previously Methods We evaluated 146 patients who underwent medial UKA between 2009 and 2014 Kellgren–Lawrence grading of lateral and patellofemoral OA was performed on preoperative and final follow-up knee radiographs Radiographic and clinical characteristics, SF-36, and Oxford knee scores were compared between the OA progressed and non-progressed groups Risk factors for lateral and patellofemoral OA progression were evaluated Results The lateral OA progressed and non-progressed groups significantly differed in side, preoperative flexion contracture, preoperative joint line convergence angle, postoperative tibiofemoral angle, insert size, revision status (P Dominant leg (odds ratio (OR): 2759), insert size (> 4, OR: 2219), revision status (+, OR: 6692), and postoperative tibiofemoral angle (> 55°, OR: 1177) were independent risk factors for lateral OA progression, whereas age (> 60 years, OR: 3222), preoperative patellofemoral OA grade (> 1, OR: 2085), and postoperative flexion contracture (> 10°, OR: 1919) were those for patellofemoral OA progression Conclusions Mild radiographic progression of 1 KL grade is frequently seen five to 10 years after medial UKA Postoperative outcomes are significantly affected by lateral compartment OA progression but not by patellofemoral OA progression
