TL;DR: Clinical experience on 50 cases of mammary tuberculosis showed that presentation may mimic benign lesion or carcinoma of the breast, diagnosis can be made on high index of suspicion in endemic areas and treatment is by anti tubercular chemotherapy with or without surgical intervention where necessary.
Abstract: Mammary tuberculosis is a rare entity in western countries but a continuing problem in endemic areas like Bangladesh. Its clinical patterns and treatment strategies are changing day by day. In this study we showed our clinical experience on 50 cases of mammary tuberculosis. This is a prospective nonrandomized observational descriptive study. A total of 50 consecutive adult female patients with no other co morbid diseases and who were diagnosed cytologically or histologically as case of mammary tuberculosis were enrolled in the study over a period of 04 years since 2006 to 2010 in general surgical unit of Chittagong Medical College Hospital and Chittagong general hospital. The average ages of presentation were 38 years. Ten(20%) patients were lactating at the time of presentation and six(12%) patients were nulliparious. 40(80%) patients had breast lump at presentation. Among them 20(40%) presented with multiple sinuses with lump,10(20%) had abscess with lump,05(10%) had abscess drainage scar with underlying lump and 05(10%) presented with isolated breast lump. 06(12%) presented with multiple sinuses with abscess formation. Another 04(8%) patients had multiple sinuses only at presentation. Ten (20%) had constitutional symptoms in the form of fever, weight loss and night sweat. Twenty (40%) had axillary lymphaedenopathy in association with breast lesion. Diagnosis were confirmed by cytological and or histological findings of epitheloid granulomas. All patients were given antitubercular chemotherapy ( 9 months regimen) in combination with surgical intervention (45 out of 50 cases) as necessary in the form of excision of masses, incision and drainage of abscess and sinectomy. Mammary tuberculosis is a continuing problem in developing countries. Presentation may mimic benign lesion or carcinoma of the breast. Diagnosis can be made on high index of suspicion in endemic areas. Cytological or histological findings of granulomatous inflammation consisting of caseation necrosis, epitheloid cell and Langhans giant cell can give definitive diagnosis. Treatment is by anti tubercular chemotherapy with or without surgical intervention where necessary. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/cmoshmcj.v13i2.21063

Abstract: From the Document: Infectious disease models can help guide major policy decisions, such as how to allocate health care resources in the COVID-19 [coronavirus disease 2019] response However, limitations in data inputs and assumptions can lead to considerable uncertainty in model estimates Interpreting these estimates requires understanding their purpose, limitations, and assumptions COVID-19 (Disease);Infectious disease;Emerging infectious diseases;Public health

TL;DR: A primitive study on receptor status in breast cancer patients to encourage the surgeons to advice receptor status routinely and treat the patients accordingly as patients prognosis will be much more better if they are treated according to their receptor status.
Abstract: Background: Estimation of Estrogen Receptor (ER) Progesterone Receptor (PR) and Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2) is mandatory for choosing treatment options and prognosis of breast cancer patients. This estimation can be done by Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Fluoroscence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) test. As the tests are expensive many of our patients can’t afford to do it. But if we practice doing the test routinely the cost will be reduced and our patients will be benefited. So we underwent a primitive study on receptor status in breast cancer patients. Our goal was to encourage the surgeons to advice receptor status routinely and treat the patients accordingly as patients prognosis will be much more better if they are treated according to their receptor status. Methods: This was a retrospective observational study of 74 breast cancer patients in a private clinic. In this study we have shown their receptor status by IHC and the data were analyzed. Results: Among the 74 patients 32 were ER +ve PR +ve, 11 were ER +ve PR -ve, 02 were ER –ve PR +ve, 29 were ER -ve PR -ve. ER &/or PR positive patients will be more responsive to hormone therapy. 28 patients were HER2 +ve, 34 patients were HER2 –ve and 9 were equivocal. HER2 positive patients will be benefited from targeted therapy. Among the patients 11 were triple negative that means they have worst prognosis. Conclusion: As knowing the receptor status in breast cancer help us as a predictive, prognostic and therapeutic indicator, we must advice it routinely and take steps to make it cheaper and easily available. TL;DR: In this paper, the authors inspected and incorporated multi-omics results and potential headings for multomics code systems and investigated subsequent methods and advanced structures for MLSG multomics program schemes.
Abstract: The constantly growing demand to inaugurate algorithm in genomics system and machine learning in conjunction with multi-omic data for measuring possible genotype-phenotype connections has become immensely favourable in big data science, biomedical computing as well as in precision medicine in recent years. MLSG comprise computer code systems that are utilized to investigate several thousand multi-omics details by high-level scientific research. To examine and incorporate Multi-omics results, this research work inspects MLSG code systems and potential headings. Our research is mainly centered on investigating subsequent methods and advanced structures for MLSG multi-omics program schemes.
