TL;DR: In this paper, the temperature dependence of the heavy-ion transient-ion beam induced current response of Si epilayer devices from 80 to 300 K was investigated and compared with TCAD simulations.
Abstract: We report on the temperature dependence of the heavy-ion transient-ion beam induced current response of Si epilayer devices from 80 to 300 K. The measurements were performed on a heavy-ion microbeam in conjunction with the new transient-ion beam induced current system developed at the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute. Furthermore, we perform a detailed comparison with technology computer-aided design (TCAD) simulations and discuss the results in terms of TCAD modeling, experimental procedure, and the implications for temperature-related single-event upset modeling.

TL;DR: In this paper, the dielectric properties of a single crystal (NH 4 ) 3 H(SeO 4 ) 2 were measured below room temperature and two phase transitions were found at around +2°C and at -92°C.
Abstract: Dielectric properties of single crystal (NH 4 ) 3 H(SeO 4 ) 2 were measured below room temperature Two phase transitions were found at around +2°C and at -92°C A λ-type peak of the dielectric constant along the c -direction is found at -92°C, and the crystal shows ferroelectricity below the transition The temperature dependence of the spontaneous polarization was measured by a pyroelectric method The Curie temperature linearly increases with increasing hydrostatic pressure up to 85 kbar with a slope of 23 deg kbar -1

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors summarized Type I edge localized mode (ELM) dynamics measurements from a number of tokamaks, including ASDEX-Upgrade, DIII-D, JET, JT-60U and MAST, with the goal of providing guidance and insight for the development of ELM simulation and modelling.
Abstract: This report summarizes Type I edge localized mode (ELM) dynamics measurements from a number of tokamaks, including ASDEX-Upgrade, DIII-D, JET, JT-60U and MAST, with the goal of providing guidance and insight for the development of ELM simulation and modelling. Several transport mechanisms are conjectured to be responsible for ELM transport, including convective transport due to filamentary structures ejected from the pedestal, parallel transport due to edge ergodization or magnetic reconnection and turbulent transport driven by the high edge gradients when the radial electric field shear is suppressed. The experimental observations are assessed for their validation, or conflict, with these ELM transport conjectures.

TL;DR: The neutral beam injection power reached 5.8MW at 400 keV with deuterium and 20A at 360keV with hydrogen against the goal of 22A at 500 keV.
Abstract: The 500-keV negative-ion based neutral beam injector for JT-60U started operation in 1996. The beam power has been increased gradually through optimizing operation parameters of the ion sources and conquering many troubles in the ion source and power supplies caused by a high voltage break-down in the accelerator. However, some issues remain to be solved concerning the ion source for increasing further the beam power and the beam energy. The most serious issue of them is non-uniformity of source plasma in the arc chamber. Various countermeasures have been implemented to improve the non-uniformity. Some of those countermeasures have been found to be partially effective in reducing the non-uniformity of the source plasma, and as the result the ion source, so far, has accelerated negative-ion beams of 17.4A at 403keV with deuterium and 20A at 360keV with hydrogen against the goal of 22A at 500keV. The neutral beam injection power into the plasma has reached 5.8MW at 400keV with deuterium. Further efforts to ...
