TL;DR: This paper presents the empirical investigation results on the urban bus transport networks (BTNs) of four major cities in China and introduces a model by which the analytic and numerical result obtained agrees well with the empirical facts.
Abstract: In this paper, we present the empirical investigation results on the urban bus transport networks (BTNs) of four major cities in China. In BTN, nodes are bus stops. Two nodes are connected by an edge when the stops are serviced by a common bus route. The empirical results show that the degree distributions of BTNs take exponential function forms. Other two statistical properties of BTNs are also considered, and they are suggested as the distributions of so-called “the number of stops in a bus route” (represented by S ) and “the number of bus routes a stop joins” (by R ). The distributions of R also show exponential function forms, while the distributions of S follow asymmetric, unimodal functions. To explain these empirical results and attempt to simulate a possible evolution process of BTN, we introduce a model by which the analytic and numerical result obtained agrees well with the empirical facts. Finally, we also discuss some other possible evolution cases, where the degree distribution shows a power law or an interpolation between the power law and the exponential decay.

TL;DR: In order to achieve the optimized control, the reinforcement learning algorithm of the identifier–actor–critic architecture is implemented based on fuzzy logic system (FLS) approximators and it is proven that the desired optimizing performance can be arrived.
Abstract: The paper proposes an optimized leader–follower formation control for the multi-agent systems with unknown nonlinear dynamics. Usually, optimal control is designed based on the solution of the Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman equation, but it is very difficult to solve the equation because of the unknown dynamic and inherent nonlinearity. Specifically, to multi-agent systems, it will become more complicated owing to the state coupling problem in control design. In order to achieve the optimized control, the reinforcement learning algorithm of the identifier–actor–critic architecture is implemented based on fuzzy logic system (FLS) approximators. The identifier is designed for estimating the unknown multi-agent dynamics; the actor and critic FLSs are constructed for executing control behavior and evaluating control performance, respectively. According to Lyapunov stability theory, it is proven that the desired optimizing performance can be arrived. Finally, a simulation example is carried out to further demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control approach.

TL;DR: The present investigation reveals that Khuzdar (C2), Badin (C3), and Mastung (C7) are the most suitable cities for the installation of solar PV power projects in Pakistan.
Abstract: Pakistan has an abundant solar power potential which can be effectively utilized for the electricity generation. There are various sites across the country which have sufficient solar irradiation across the year, and thus, suitable for the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) power projects. This study, therefore, aims to undertake research on the establishment of solar power project site selection in Pakistan. In this context, 14 promising cities of Pakistan are considered as alternatives and studied in terms of economic, environmental, social, location, climate, and orography criteria and further supplemented with 20 sub-criteria. Initially, the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method has been used to prioritize each of the main criteria and sub-criteria. Later, fuzzy VlseKriterijuska Optimizacija I Komoromisno Resenje (F-VIKOR) method has been employed to prioritize the 14 alternatives. The present investigation reveals that Khuzdar (C2), Badin (C3), and Mastung (C7) are the most suitable cities for the installation of solar PV power projects in Pakistan. Finally, the outcome of the sensitivity analysis revealed that obtained results are reliable and robust for the installation of solar PV power projects in Pakistan. This study shall assist government, energy planners, and policymakers in making cities sustainable by establishing solar power projects in Pakistan.
