TL;DR: In this article, a mobile station receives cell selection reference signals from a first base station and a second base station to connect before and after a handover, and measures received power values of the cell selection signal.
Abstract: Provided is a mobile communication system capable of reducing interference in uplinks and downlinks to achieve excellent communication quality. A mobile station receives cell selection reference signals from a first base station and a second base station to connect before and after a handover, and measures received power values of the cell selection reference signals. The mobile station acquires uplink transmitted power values from the mobile station to the first base station and to the second base station. The first base station and the second base station control a power of the cell selection reference signal so that the uplink transmitted power values from the mobile station to the first base station and to the second base station become substantially equal and so that a received power value at the mobile station of the cell selection reference signal becomes substantially equal to a predetermined reference power value.

TL;DR: In this article, a mobile terminal authentication method for utilizing a service supplied from an information server to a mobile device is presented. But the method is not suitable for the use of mobile devices and requires the user's biometric information to be shared with the mobile device.
Abstract: A mobile terminal authentication method used for utilizing a service supplied from an information server to a mobile terminal is provided. The method authenticates the mobile terminal based on user information by which the information server identifies the mobile terminal. The method comprises an authentication step by the mobile terminal, carrying out an authentication using biometric information representing a user's biometric characteristic and read by a reading device, and previously registered user's biometric information; and a transmitting step by the mobile terminal, transmitting the user information to the information server when the biometric information read by the reading device coincides with the previously registered user's biometric information.

TL;DR: In this paper, a congestion state of a transmission path between a transmitting terminal device and a receiving terminal device is analyzed, and a transmission state of media packets between the transmitting terminal devices and the receiving terminal devices is analyzed.
Abstract: A congestion state of a transmission path between a transmitting terminal device and a receiving terminal device is analyzed, a transmission state of media packets between the transmitting terminal device and the receiving terminal device is analyzed, and qualities of the media packets to be transmitted by the transmitting terminal device is controlled according to the transmission path congestion state analysis result and the transmission state analysis result.

TL;DR: The motivations and gains of introducing customizable reliability of virtual infrastructures when executing large-scale distributed applications are discussed, a framework to specify, allocate and deploy virtualized infrastructure with reliability capabilities is presented and an approach to efficiently specify and control the reliability at runtime is proposed.
Abstract: Through the recent emergence of joint resource and network virtualization, dynamic composition and provisioning of time-limited and isolated virtual infrastructures is now possible. One other benefit of infrastructure virtualization is the capability of transparent reliability provisioning (reliability becomes a service provided by the infrastructure). In this context, we discuss the motivations and gains of introducing customizable reliability of virtual infrastructures when executing large-scale distributed applications, and present a framework to specify, allocate and deploy virtualized infrastructure with reliability capabilities. An approach to efficiently specify and control the reliability at runtime is proposed. We illustrate these ideas by analyzing the introduction of reliability at the virtual-infrastructure level on a real application. Experimental results, obtained with an actual medical-imaging application running in virtual infrastructures provisioned in the experimental large-scale Grid’5000 platform, show the benefits of the virtualization of reliability.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for representing an omni-directional-like image by capturing the image and determining a representation format that is commonly applicable to any image acquisition system that is able to capture the image is presented.
Abstract: A method for representing an omni directional-like image by capturing an omni-directional-like image and determining a representation format that is commonly applicable to any image acquisition system that is able to capture the omni-directional-like image. The captured omni-directional-like image is mapped onto the determined representation format.
