TL;DR: SLV306 increased plasma natriuretic peptides and big endothelin-1 levels in a dose-dependent manner, confirming NEP and ECE inhibition and may be useful in heart failure by reducing right and left cardiac filling pressures.
Abstract: SLV306, a potent neutral endopeptidase (NEP) inhibitor with additional endothelin-converting enzyme (ECE)-inhibitory activity, in doses of 200, 400, and 800 mg reduced pulmonary and right atrial pressures, although there was not a clear dose response. Systemic blood pressure, heart rate, and cardiac output were unaffected. SLV306 increased plasma natriuretic peptides and big endothelin-1 levels in a dose-dependent manner, confirming NEP and ECE inhibition. The combined inhibition of NEP and ECE may be useful in heart failure by reducing right and left cardiac filling pressures.

06 Mar 1998TL;DR: In this article, a tin based stabiliser composition obtained by the ageing of an alkaline solution of a tin compound and a phosphorus containing compound was provided for the stabilisation of non-equilibrium solutions of peroxyacids.
Abstract: The current invention relates to the stabilisation of peroxyacid solutions There is provided a tin based stabiliser composition obtained by the ageing of an alkaline solution of a tin compound and a phosphorus containing compound The stabiliser is particularly suitable for the stabilisation of non-equilibrium solutions of peroxyacids

TL;DR: Relapses in progressive relapsing multiple sclerosis may occur more often than previously described and disability may accumulate more rapidly in PRMS than in PPMS, and it is suggested differentiating between these two forms of MS.
Abstract: Objective: Patients with progressive relapsing (PR) multiple sclerosis (MS) may accrue disability by incomplete recovery from acute exacerbations and by ongoing deterioration. In primary progressiv...

04 Aug 1993TL;DR: Polyglycerol fatty acid ester mixtures of mono- di- and polyesters of polyglycerols having a degree of polymerization of 2 to 8 and at least one saturated and/or unsaturated fatty acid, the mixtures having an HLB of greater than 8 and containing 0 to less than 5 wt-% diglycerol fatty acids esters, 20 to 65 wt -% triglycerol fat acid esters and 20 to 50 wt −% tetraglycerol fat acids having more than 14 carbon atoms, in which the fatty acid
Abstract: Polyglycerol fatty acid ester mixtures of mono- di- and polyesters of polyglycerols having a degree of polymerization of 2 to 8 and at least one saturated and/or unsaturated fatty acid, the mixtures having an HLB of greater than 8 and containing 0 to less than 5 wt-% diglycerol fatty acid esters, 20 to 65 wt-% triglycerol fatty acid esters, 20 to 50 wt-% tetraglycerol fatty acid esters and 5 to 40 wt-% higher polyglycerol fatty acid esters, in which the fatty acid component consists of one or more fatty acids selected from the saturated and/or unsaturated, branched and/or unbranched C6 - to C14 -fatty acids containing less than 10 wt-% fatty acids having more than 14 carbon atoms; bath additive preparations containing such polyglycerol fatty acid ester mixtures; methods of using such polyglycerol fatty acid ester mixtures, and a process for preparing such mixtures.
