05 Nov 2003TL;DR: In this article, a method for transmitting a multimedia message from a server in a multimedia messaging service center to a target server is described, where a foreground server, which knows the extensions supported by the target server, is used in the method.
Abstract: of EP1422954The invention relates to a method for transmitting a multimedia message from a server in a multimedia messaging service center to a target server. A foreground server, which knows the extensions supported by the target server, is used in the method. In addition, in the method it is possible to check the extensions for receiving a multimedia message supported by the target server prior to the actual transmission of the multimedia message, in which case the loading transmission between the messaging service centers is reduced. In addition, the invention relates to a system, which comprises servers of a multimedia messaging service center, between which the described method is applied in order to transmit a multimedia message, as well as to a server and a foreground server in connection with the target server.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for transmitting a message to one or more terminal devices of a different type in a telecommunication network, the method comprising steps for creating, sending, transmitting and receiving the message to be transmitted. In the method, the message to be transmitted and the transmission data needed in the transmission are combined to form a generic message packet when creating the message, a copy is formed of the message packet in question for each recipient when sending the message, the copies are distributed in accordance with the recipients when sending the message, each copy is modified into the form required by the recipient of the copy in question when transmitting the message, and each modified copy is transmitted to the recipient in accordance with the telecommunication protocol required by the recipient in question utilising the transmission data when transmitting the message.

10 Mar 2015TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe a method for delivering data in at least two short messages being concatenated to each other, where an acknowledgement indicating successful delivery of the delivered short message is received by the originating party from the short message center, and in response to the receipt of the acknowledgement indicating a successful delivery, at least one other short message was delivered to the destination party.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for delivering data in at least two short messages being concatenated to each other. In the method a short message is delivered from an originating party to a destination party through a short message service center, an acknowledgement indicating a successful delivery of the delivered short message is received by the originating party from the short message center, and in response to the receipt of the acknowledgement indicating a successful delivery of the previous short message, at least one other short message is delivered to the destination party. The invention also relates to a server implementing at least part of the method steps.
