TL;DR: In this paper, a method and a system for establishing a telecommunication connection between two terminals (5, 6) in a telecommunications system, which includes a telecommunications network (4), one or more telecommunication exchanges (2) connected to the telecommunications network, through which exchange(s) the connection is routed, is described.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a system for establishing a telecommunication connection between two terminals (5, 6) in a telecommunications system, which includes a telecommunications network (4), one or more telecommunication exchanges (2) connected to the telecommunications network (4), through which exchange(s) the connection is routed. In the method first terminal device (5) connects to second terminal device (6) through the telecommunications exchange (2). The first terminal device (5) is a telephone and/or a telefax terminal (5, 5a) and the second terminal device (6) is a telephone and/or a telefax terminal with alternatively the same calling identifier (6, 6a). In the method the calling signal of the first terminal device (5) is identified and based on this identification the second terminal device (6) is selected. According to the invention the telecommunications network (4) includes an identifying device (1) that identifies the calling signal of the first terminal device (5). Based on this identification the connection is directed to the second terminal device (6).
