TLDR
The present investigation deals with the study of the anti-inflammatory activity of taxifolin, a flavonoid obtained from Madhuca Butyracea, and the effect ofTaxifolin on the serum aminotransferase and tissue adenosine triphosphate (ATP) phosphohydrolase activity to elucidate the possible mechanism of its anti- inflammatory activity.

Anti-inflammatory activity of oleanolic acid in rats and mice.

TL;DR: Oleanolic acid displayed anti‐inflammatory activity in carrageenan and dextran‐induced oedema in Rats and elicited marked anti‐arthritic action in adjuvant‐induced polyarthritis in rats and mice and in formaldehyde‐induced arthritis in rats.

Antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory and antidiabetic effects of Bryophyllum pinnatum (Crassulaceae) leaf aqueous extract

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory and antidiabetic properties of Bryophyllum pinnatum leaves in experimental animal models.

An insight into the health-promoting effects of taxifolin (dihydroquercetin).

TL;DR: Taxifolin showed promising pharmacological activities in the management of inflammation, tumors, microbial infections, oxidative stress, cardiovascular, and liver disorders, and the anti-cancer activity was more prominent than other activities evaluated using different in vitro and in vivo models.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anti-asthmatic action of quercetin and rutin in conscious guinea-pigs challenged with aerosolized ovalbumin.

TL;DR: Results indicate that quercetin and rutin may be useful in the treatment of IAR and LAR in asthma via inhibition of histamine release, PLA2, and EPO, and reduced recruitment of neutrophils and eosinophils into the lung.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory and antidiabetic properties of Hypoxis hemerocallidea Fisch. & C.A. Mey. (Hypoxidaceae) corm ['African Potato'] aqueous extract in mice and rats.

TL;DR: The findings of this experimental animal study indicate that H. hemerocallidea corm aqueous extract (APE) possesses antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory and antidiabetic properties; and thus lend pharmacological support to folkloric, anecdotal uses of 'African Potato' in the treatment and/or management of painful, arthritic inflammatory conditions, as well as in the management of type-2 diabetes mellitus in some parts of southern Africa.
