Influences of ultrasonic- and microwave-irradiated preparation methods on the structural and dielectric properties of (PEO–PMMA)–LiCF 3 SO 3 – x wt% MMT nanocomposite electrolytes

TL;DR: In this paper, solid polymeric nanocomposite electrolytes (SPNEs) consisted of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) blend with lithium triflate (LiCF3SO3) as ionic salt and montmorillonite (MMT) clay as inorganic nanofiller have been prepared by classical solution cast, ultrasonic assisted, microwave irradiated and ultrasonicated followed by microwave-irradiated solution cast melt-pressed methods.

Understanding Nonlinear Dielectric Properties in a Biaxially Oriented Poly(vinylidene fluoride) Film at Both Low and High Electric Fields

TL;DR: This work studied nonlinear dielectric properties of a biaxially oriented poly(vinylidene fluoride) (BOPVDF) film under both low and high electric fields and observed that the low-field dielectrica nonlinearity originated from ionic migration of impurity ions rather than dipolar relaxation of the amorphous segments.

Synthesis and Dielectric Characterization of Potassium Niobate Tantalate Ceramics

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the dielectric properties of potassium niobate tantalate (KTN) with the aim of exploring the material's potential for ferroelectric tunable applications.

Dynamics of glass-forming liquids. XII. Dielectric study of primary and secondary relaxations in ethylcyclohexane.

TL;DR: The dynamics of ethylcyclohexane are investigated by high resolution dielectric spectroscopy aiming to characterize the relevant relaxational features of this simple system in its fluid, supercooled liquid, and glassy states, suggesting that a secondary process is an intramolecular mode rather than a Johari-Goldstein process.

Voltage-dependent structural changes of the membrane-bound anion channel hVDAC1 probed by SEIRA and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy

TL;DR: Spectroelectrochemical approaches probe the voltage-induced molecular structure changes of human VDAC1 (hVDAC1) embedded in a tethered bilayer lipid membrane on a nanostructured Au electrode to identify spectral changes which may be associated with the transition from the open to the "closed" states.
