Carbocycles from donor–acceptor cyclopropanes

TLDR
This review summarizes research directed towards the formation of carbocyclic adducts from donor-acceptor cyclopropanes and focuses on annulation and cycloaddition reactions mediated by Lewis or protic acid, bases, or thermal conditions.
Abstract
This review summarizes research directed towards the formation of carbocyclic adducts from donor–acceptor cyclopropanes. The focus of the review is on annulation and cycloaddition reactions (both inter- and intramolecularly) mediated by Lewis or protic acid, bases, or thermal conditions. Rearrangements resulting in carbocycles and those reactions mediated by transition metal catalysis have been excluded.

In Situ Generation of Highly Reactive Allenes From Nitrocyclopropanes: Controllable Synthesis of Enynes and Enesters

TL;DR: In this article, a ring-opening reaction of nitrocyclopropanes was developed for the first time for the divergent synthesis of enynes and enesters via in situ generated highly reactive electron-deficient intermediate allenes.

Electricity mediated [3+2]-cycloaddition of N-sulfonylcyclopropanes with olefins via N-centered radical intermediates: access to cyclopentane analogs.

TL;DR: In this article , an external oxidant free electrochemical strategy was designed towards the β-scission of strained C-C bonds in cyclopropylamine, and the mechanistic studies ascertained that the methodology encompasses the N-center radical (NCRs) route and provides access to di- or tri-substituted cyclopentane analogs.

Ring-Opening/Recyclization Cascades of Monoactivated Cyclopropanes.

TL;DR: During the course of the investigation, pronounced solvent, temperature, and substituent effects on the product distribution were discovered.

Stereospecific assembly of tetrahydroquinolines via tandem ring-opening/oxidative cyclization of donor-acceptor cyclopropanes with N-alkyl anilines.

TL;DR: An aerobic copper-catalyzed tandem reaction of N-alkyl anilines with donor-acceptor cyclopropanes is presented for the construction of tetrahydroquinolines via a sequential stereospecific ring opening and oxidative cyclization.

Telmisartan, Ramipril, or Both in Patients at High Risk for Vascular Events

TL;DR: Telmisartan was equivalent to ramipril in patients with vascular disease or high-risk diabetes and was associated with less angioedema and a increased risk of hypotensive symptoms.

A new golden age for donor-acceptor cyclopropanes.

TL;DR: This Review highlights the appropriate tools for successfully employing donor-acceptor cyclopropanes in ring-opening reactions, cycloadditions, and rearrangements.
