Colloidal Nano Silver-Its Production Method, Properties, Standards and its Bio-efficacy as an Inorganic Antibiotic
TL;DR: In this paper, it has been shown by using only the purest water and silver commercially available (99.998%) and by precisely controlling temperature, light and electrical conditions, and stable high grade, colloidal silver can be consistently produced using electrochemical principles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Remediation of Organic Chemicals in the Vadose Zone
Lawrence C. Murdoch,J. S. Girke,J. Rossabi,J. Reed,D. Conley,J. Phelan,R. W. Falta,W. Heath,Terry C. Hazen,R. L. Siegrist +9 more
TL;DR: In the vadose zone, a broad range of conditions and circumstances, including factors related to geologic conditions, properties of the contaminants, and the ability to access the subsurface, are critical to the performance of the remedial technique, and currently no single technique addresses all the factors found at contaminated sites as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Soil mixing of stratified contaminated sands
TL;DR: The results showed that the auger design plays a very important part in the mixing process in heterogeneous sands, and the variability of the properties measured in the stratified soils and the measurable variations caused by the various factors considered highlighted the importance of duplicating appropriate in situ conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stabilization of Cu (II) wastes by C3S hydrated matrix
TL;DR: In this paper, the stabilization of Cu (II) wastes by C3S during its early hydration (from 3-h -7-days) was studied, and the results showed that the presence of Cu(II) ions retard the early water hydration of tricalcium silicate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantifying the environmental impact of As and Cr in stabilized/solidified materials
TL;DR: The assessment of the quality of sediment from the Great Backi Canal (Serbia) based on the pseudo-total As and Cr content according to the corresponding Dutch standards and Canadian guidelines showed its severe contamination with these two elements.
