Body Weight Changes During Pandemic-Related Shelter-in-Place in a Longitudinal Cohort Study.
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated ambulatory weight changes of a longitudinal cohort during initial SIP orders to better understand the possible downstream health implications of prolonged SIP, and found that the initial outbreak coincided with an observed decrease in daily step counts, likely reflective of changes in physical activity and patterns of daily living, as well as concurrent self-reported increases in snacking and overeating.

Self-reported moderate-to-vigorous leisure time physical activity predicts less pain and disability over 12 months in chronic and persistent low back pain.
Rafael Z. Pinto,Rafael Z. Pinto,Paulo H. Ferreira,Alice Kongsted,Manuela L. Ferreira,Christopher G. Maher,Peter Kent +6 more
TL;DR: A prognostic study is conducted to investigate whether levels of leisure time physical activity are independently associated with clinical outcomes in people seeking care for chronic and persistent LBP.

Physical activity level and its sociodemographic correlates in a peri-urban Nepalese population: a cross-sectional study from the Jhaukhel-Duwakot health demographic surveillance site.
Abhinav Vaidya,Alexandra Krettek +1 more
TL;DR: A high burden of physical inactivity in a peri-urban community of Nepal is revealed through sensitizing people to its importance through appropriate multi-sector strategies that provide encouragement across all sociodemographic groups.

Marco Antonio Vieira da Silva,Thaís Moreira São-João,Valéria Silva Cândido Brizon,Decio Henrique Franco,Fábio Luiz Mialhe +4 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that application of the implementation intentions strategy was capable of increasing PA practice in the participants of these studies, in comparison with others that did not use this reinforcement.
