Enzymic determination of uracil nucleotides in tissues.
TLDR
An enzymic assay for the sequential determination of UDP-glucose, UDP-galactose, UTP, UDP, and 5′-UMP in tissues is described, which uses commercially available enzymes and is highly reproducible, with standard deviations of less than 2%.About:

TL;DR: Digitonin-activated UDP glucuronyltransferase of rat liver microsomes was inhibited by sulphate esters of phenolphthalein and 4-methylumbelliferone, and the o -aminophenyl glucuronide synthesis in rat liver slices was inhibited irreversibly by inorganic sulphate.

Uridine kinase molecular species and uridine uptake in some variants of rat hepatomas.
TL;DR: The results suggest a relationship between the UK form present and the rate uridine phosphorylation by the intact cells, and a clone of somatic hybrid cells that does not express form I indicates that p4 cells may lack a factor controlling the polymerization of form I.

Effect of wounding on nucleotide pools inBidens pilosa L.
TL;DR: The calculation of AEC has shown that a very tight control in the level of ATP may be involved in response to wounding, and the levels of adenosine triphosphate, GTP, and non adenylic triph phosphates and adenylate energy charge after wounding are determined.

The enzymatic transformation of uridine diphosphate glucose into a galactose derivative
TL;DR: It is concluded that the compound found with treatment of UDPG with an enzyme of S. fragilis is uridine diphosphate galactose, and the bearing of this finding on the mechanism of action of UDPG is discussed.

Isolation of the coenzyme of the galactose phosphate-glucose phosphate transformation.
TL;DR: In the initial studies (5) it was found that a thermostable factor was required in the over-all Reactions II and III, which led eventually to the discovery and isolation of glucose diphosphate, which acts as a coenzyme in Reaction III.
