TLDR
In this paper, a roughness-viscosity model was proposed to interpret the experimental data and the results indicated significant departure of flow characteristics from the predictions of the conventional theory for microtubes with smaller diameters.

Study of Capillary Filling Dynamics in a Microchannel

TL;DR: In this article, an attempt has been made to study the influence of certain parameters on the equilibrium height attained by the liquid in the micro channel, which has been modified using the concept of phase change and vapour recoil and also accommodating the entrance effects in terms of added mass.

Experimental Study for Flow Characteristics of Adjustment Channel in Platelet Thrust Chamber

TL;DR: In this article, the S N − equation was corrected by means of introducing a roughness-viscosity model, and it was indicated that the prediction of roughness viscosity models was in agreement with the experimental data.

Boundary layer theory

TL;DR: The flow laws of the actual flows at high Reynolds numbers differ considerably from those of the laminar flows treated in the preceding part, denoted as turbulence as discussed by the authors, and the actual flow is very different from that of the Poiseuille flow.

Experimental Investigation on Liquid Forced-Convection Heat-Transfer Through Microchannels

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the single-phase forced-flow convection of water or methanol flowing through microchannels with rectangular cross-section and found that the fully developed turbulent convection regime was initiated at about Re = 1000-1500.
