TLDR
In this paper, a roughness-viscosity model was proposed to interpret the experimental data and the results indicated significant departure of flow characteristics from the predictions of the conventional theory for microtubes with smaller diameters.

Compact and Micro-heat Exchangers

TL;DR: A good knowledge of available heat exchanger concepts is a useful precursor to the introduction of more complex and combined unit operations based upon such compact heat exchangers as discussed by the authors, and the challenges to heat transfer in the aerospace and electronics areas have also greatly encouraged the development of such heat- exchangers.

Models for Gaseous Slip Flow in Non-Circular Microchannels

TL;DR: In this article, a review of several new models obtained by the authors is presented, including fully developed slip flow in non-circular microchannels, hydrodynamically developing slip flow, compressibility effects, and roughness effects.

Thermal & Hydraulic Characteristics ofSingle phase flow in Mini-channel forElectronic cooling Review

TL;DR: In this paper, single phase liquid flow in mini channel is reviewed and the applicability of conventional correlation at this scale, and analyze reasons for deviation from experimental result is analyzed. But the authors focus on applicability and applicability in this scale.

Boundary layer theory

TL;DR: The flow laws of the actual flows at high Reynolds numbers differ considerably from those of the laminar flows treated in the preceding part, denoted as turbulence as discussed by the authors, and the actual flow is very different from that of the Poiseuille flow.

Measurement of friction factors for the flow of gases in very fine channels used for microminiature Joule-Thomson refrigerators

TL;DR: In this article, the friction factors for the flow of gases in the fine channels used for microminiature Joule-Thomson refrigerators have been measured using a photolithographic technique.

Experimental Investigation on Liquid Forced-Convection Heat-Transfer Through Microchannels

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the single-phase forced-flow convection of water or methanol flowing through microchannels with rectangular cross-section and found that the fully developed turbulent convection regime was initiated at about Re = 1000-1500.

Frictional flow characteristics of water flowing through rectangular microchannels

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the flow characteristics of water flowing through rectangular microchannels having hydraulic diameters of 0.133-0.367 mm and H/W ratios between 0.333-1.72i.
