Polarisation compensation in non-planar image-rotating OPO ring resonators.
Marcin Piotrowski,Martin Schellhorn,Gerhard Spindler,Manuel Alessandro Medina,Christian Mueller,Stefano Bigotta,Anne Hildenbrand-Dhollande +6 more
TL;DR: In this article , the polarisation compensation and its impact on the performance of two types of non-planar resonators were examined and it was shown that under certain experimentally feasible conditions, even FIRE resonators can achieve adequate polarization compensation with a single half-wave plate.

Valery V. Badikov,Dmitrii Badikov,Galina Shevyrdyaeva,Kiyoshi Kato,Nobuhiro Umemura,Kentaro Miyata,Vladimir Panyutin,Valentin Petrov +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the non-centrosymmetric hexagonal Ba 2 Ga 8 GeS 16 (B2GGS) crystal was grown for the first time with good optical quality and its linear (transmission, dispersion, and birefringence) and nonlinear (second order nonlinear susceptibility) properties were studied.

Nonlinear optics
TL;DR: In this method, non-linear susceptibility tensors are introduced which relate the induced dipole moment to a power series expansion in field strengths and the various experimental observations are described and interpreted in terms of this formalism.

Quasi-phase-matched second harmonic generation: tuning and tolerances
TL;DR: The theory of quasi-phase-matched second-harmonic generation in both the space domain and the wave vector mismatch domain is presented in this paper, where various types of errors in the periodicity of these structures are analyzed to find their effects on the conversion efficiency and on the shape of the tuning curve.
