Effect of intravenous immunoglobulin therapy on serum levels of IgG1 and IgG4 antidesmoglein 1 and antidesmoglein 3 antibodies in pemphigus vulgaris.

TL;DR: There seems to be a stronger association between the decrease in IgG4 antidesmoglein 3 levels and improvement in clinical activity than with changes in the other antibody levels, which suggests that IgG 4 antibodies have a more important role in mediating pemphigus vulgaris.

IgG4-related periaortitis vs idiopathic periaortitis: is there a role for atherosclerotic plaque in the pathogenesis of IgG4-related periaortitis?

TL;DR: Elevated serum IgG4 levels, male gender, a higher calcium content of the aortic wall and multifocal organ involvement are features that might provide a higher probability for IgG 4-related periaortitis compared with idiopathic perIAortitis.
