Interaction-driven localization in holography

TLDR
In this paper, a periodic lattice was introduced to a holographic model developed by string theorists to study anisotropic materials that are insulating in certain directions but conducting in others.
Abstract
Strongly interacting condensed-matter systems are often computationally intractable. By introducing a periodic lattice to a holographic model developed by string theorists, it becomes possible to study anisotropic materials that are insulating in certain directions but conducting in others.

Holographic metal-insulator transition in higher derivative gravity

TL;DR: In this paper, a Weyl term was introduced into the Einstein-Maxwell-Axion theory in four dimensional spacetime, and the first metal-insulator transition was obtained at zero temperature.

Gapless and gapped holographic phonons

TL;DR: In this paper, a holographic model where translations are both spontaneously and explicitly broken, leading to the presence of (pseudo)-phonons in the spectrum was studied, and the universal relation between the phonon damping rate, mass and diffusivity reported in this model for weak enough explicit breaking was verified.

Doping the holographic Mott insulator

TL;DR: In this article, the authors exploit the holographic duality, which maps the physics of densely entangled matter onto gravitational black hole physics, to construct entangled non-Fermi liquid metallic states, such as the strange metals found in cuprate superconductors.

Holographic Butterfly Effect at Quantum Critical Points

TL;DR: In this article, the butterfly effect is used to diagnose quantum phase transition in holographic theories and the derivatives of the butterfly velocity with respect to system parameters characterizes quantum critical points (QCP) with local extremes in zero temperature limit.
Journal ArticleDOI

A simple holographic superconductor with momentum relaxation

TL;DR: In this article, a holographic superconductor model with momentum relaxation due to massless scalar fields linear to spatial coordinates was studied, where β is the strength of momentum relaxation.

Minkowski-space correlators in AdS/CFT correspondence: recipe and applications

TL;DR: In this paper, a prescription for computing Minkowski-space correlators from AdS/CFT correspondence was formulated and shown to give the correct retarded propagators at zero temperature in four dimensions, as well as at finite temperature in two dimensions.

Theory of the Nernst effect near quantum phase transitions in condensed matter and in dyonic black holes

TL;DR: In this article, a general hydrodynamic theory of transport in the vicinity of superfluid-insulator transitions in two spatial dimensions described by ''Lorentz''-invariant quantum critical points was presented.
