Interaction-driven localization in holography

TLDR
In this paper, a periodic lattice was introduced to a holographic model developed by string theorists to study anisotropic materials that are insulating in certain directions but conducting in others.
Abstract
Strongly interacting condensed-matter systems are often computationally intractable. By introducing a periodic lattice to a holographic model developed by string theorists, it becomes possible to study anisotropic materials that are insulating in certain directions but conducting in others.

Holographic fermions in striped phases

TL;DR: In this article, an ionic lattice that breaks translational symmetry explicitly in the UV of the theory is constructed and the resulting Fermi surface appears to consist of detached segments reminiscent of Ferming arcs.

Perturbatively charged holographic disorder

TL;DR: In this article, a model of perturbatively charged disorder in D = 4 dimensions is presented, where a randomly fluctuating boundary chemical potential is introduced by turning on a bulk gauge field parameterized by a disorder strength and a characteristic scale.

Dissecting holographic conductivities

TL;DR: In this article, the frequency-dependent conductivities of a DC thermoelectric system in which translational symmetry is broken are computed in terms of the near-horizon data of the dual black hole.
