Introduction to Magnetic Materials
B. D. Cullity,C. D. Graham +1 more
TLDR
In this paper, the authors present materials at the practical rather than theoretical level, allowing for a physical, quantitative, measurement-based understanding of magnetism among readers, be they professional engineers or graduate-level students.Abstract:
Introduction to Magnetic Materials, 2nd Edition covers the basics of magnetic quantities, magnetic devices, and materials used in practice. While retaining much of the original, this revision now covers SQUID and alternating gradient magnetometers, magnetic force microscope, Kerr effect, amorphous alloys, rare-earth magnets, SI Units alongside cgs units, and other up-to-date topics. In addition, the authors have added an entirely new chapter on information materials. The text presents materials at the practical rather than theoretical level, allowing for a physical, quantitative, measurement-based understanding of magnetism among readers, be they professional engineers or graduate-level students.read more

Effects of Co doping on magnetic and electrochemical properties of BiFeO 3 nanoparticles
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the Co-doping on their nanostructures, magnetic and electrochemical properties was studied. And the results showed that the Co doping contents caused a decreasing of specific capacitances and the capacity retention, except for the 5, 10, 20 and 30 µmol% of the nanoparticles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of annealing on the interfaces of giant‐magnetoresistance spin‐valve structures
TL;DR: In this paper, x-ray reflectivity analysis of spin-valve structures was performed at 240, 320, and 360 degrees C. The results showed that an increase in the total film thickness with annealing temperature was caused by the surface oxidation of the Ta capping layer and the growth of a Ta silicide layer between the Ta buffer layer and Si substrate.

Some aspects of magnetic properties of Ni-Fe and Co-Fe alloys
G. Couderchon,J.F. Tiers +1 more
TL;DR: A review of the magnetic properties of the main categories of Ni-Fe and Co-Fe alloys is proposed with a special emphasis on the relationship between the domain structure and both the static and dynamic magnetic properties as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Probing the local strain-mediated magnetoelectric coupling in multiferroic nanocomposites by magnetic field-assisted piezoresponse force microscopy.
TL;DR: The results confirm the presence of a measurable magnetoelectric coupling in bilayered nanocomposites constructed by a perovskite as the electrostrictive phase and two different ferrites as the magnetic phases.

Calcination effect on the magneto-optical properties of vanadium substituted NiFe2O4 nanoferrites
Yassine Slimani,Munirah Abdullah Almessiere,Sadik Güner,N. Tashkandi,A. Baykal,Mehmet Fahri Saraç,Muhammad Nawaz,Ismail Ercan +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of calcination on the magnetic and optical properties of NiFe2−xVxO4 (0.39-1.56eV) NPs were investigated deeply.
