Physical properties of root cementum: part 21. Extent of root resorption after the application of 2.5° and 15° tips for 4 weeks: a microcomputed tomography study.

TL;DR: It is concluded that a 15° distal root tip bend causes more orthodontically induced inflammatory root resorption than a 2.5° tip-bend group and greater root Resorption was found in areas under pressure when compared with areas under tension.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of the performance of four files with rounded tips during shaping of simulated root canals

TL;DR: Under the conditions of this study, obvious differences between instruments were highlighted with SEC-O Files preparing canals more safely and with least destruction, with Flexofiles and Flexicut Files deformed significantly more than Flexile and SEC- O Files.

Analysis of Temperature Rise and the Use of Coolants in the Dissipation of Ultrasonic Heat Buildup During Post Removal

TL;DR: It was shown that injurious heat transfer occurs in less than 1 minute during dry ultrasonic instrumentation of metallic posts, and cycles of short instrumentation times with active coolants were effective in reducing the probability of tissue damage when teeth were instrumented dry.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antibacterial activity of a new mineral trioxide aggregate-based root canal sealer.

TL;DR: In 24-h and 7-day samples, AH-26 exerted the greatest activity against both organisms tested, however, all products studied exhibited antibacterial activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

The use of dequalinium acetate as a disinfectant and chemotherapeutic agent in endodontics

TL;DR: This article presents for the first time a number of selected cases from a clinical research study in which widespread periapical lesions revealed before the start of treatment were treated with a preparation whose active ingredient was dequalinium acetate.
