Effect of simulated pulpal microcirculation on intrachamber temperature changes following application of various curing units on tooth surface.

TL;DR: Evaluating ex vivo the rise in intrachamber temperature induced by the application of various curing units on tooth surface, under conditions of continuous water flow inside the pulp chamber simulating pulp microcirculation found all units proved to be safe for use.

Transmigration of impacted canines: prevalence, management and implications on tooth structure and pulp vitality of adjacent teeth

TL;DR: The aim of this study was to estimate the prevalence of transmigrant canines in a sample of panoramic radiographs of a random Greek population, to classify them and evaluate clinically and radiographically all the implications for adjacent teeth.

Comparison of micro-computerized tomography and cone-beam computerized tomography in the detection of accessory canals in primary molars

TL;DR: The presence of accessory canals in micro-CT images of maxillary and mandibular root canals showed a statistically significant correlation with the stereomicroscopic images used as a gold standard, but CBCT is not capable of adequately analyzing the internal anatomy of primary teeth.
Journal ArticleDOI

In vivo evaluation of ProPex electronic apex locator.

TL;DR: The results of this in vivo study showed that measurements after extirpation had the smallest distance to the ALs, whereas saline group had the greatest, and among the irrigation solution groups, chlorhexidine gluconate group had a smaller distance than saline group.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oxygen distribution and consumption in rat lower incisor pulp

TL;DR: It is concluded that pulpal oxygen distribution is heterogeneous and that the odontoblast could be a major oxygen consumer within the rat incisor pulp.
