Journal ArticleDOI

The Impact of Religiosity and Food Consumption Culture on Food Waste Intention in Saudi Arabia

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the direct impact of both religiosity and food consumption culture on food waste intention as well as the indirect impact through the constructs of theory of planned behavior.
Journal ArticleDOI

Purchase Intention for Green Cars Among Chinese Millennials: Merging the Value–Attitude–Behavior Theory and Theory of Planned Behavior

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors examined the relationship between pro-environmental value, consumption value, and TPB toward green car purchasing intention among the young Chinese generation, and the results showed that altruistic value positively influenced subjective norm (SN) and perceived behavioral control (PBC), but negatively influenced green purchase attitude (GPA).
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of religiosity on ethical consumption: the mediating role of materialism and guilt

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the influence of religiosity on ethical consumption of consumers and found that a higher level of religious observance in consumers guides them to avoid unwanted behaviour such as unethical consumption.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Clean Your Plate Campaign: Resisting Table Food Waste in an Unstable World

TL;DR: A review of clean plate campaigns around the world can be found in this paper , where the authors reveal the factors that may influence food waste and reveal the influence of culture, policy, COVID-19 pandemic, and behavior.
Journal ArticleDOI

‘I waste food but this is not my fault!': Exploring the drivers of plate waste in foodservices of Turkey through the prism of neutralisation theory

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors employ modified theory of planned behaviour to test the role of selected neutralisation techniques in the context of the hospitality and foodservice of Turkey, an established market of out-of-home food consumption.

The theory of planned behavior

TL;DR: Ajzen, 1985, 1987, this article reviewed the theory of planned behavior and some unresolved issues and concluded that the theory is well supported by empirical evidence and that intention to perform behaviors of different kinds can be predicted with high accuracy from attitudes toward the behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control; and these intentions, together with perceptions of behavioral control, account for considerable variance in actual behavior.
Journal ArticleDOI

Common method biases in behavioral research: a critical review of the literature and recommended remedies.

TL;DR: The extent to which method biases influence behavioral research results is examined, potential sources of method biases are identified, the cognitive processes through which method bias influence responses to measures are discussed, the many different procedural and statistical techniques that can be used to control method biases is evaluated, and recommendations for how to select appropriate procedural and Statistical remedies are provided.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new criterion for assessing discriminant validity in variance-based structural equation modeling

TL;DR: In this paper, the heterotrait-monotrait ratio of correlations is used to assess discriminant validity in variance-based structural equation modeling. But it does not reliably detect the lack of validity in common research situations.
Journal ArticleDOI

When to use and how to report the results of PLS-SEM

TL;DR: A comprehensive overview of the considerations and metrics required for partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis and result reporting can be found in this paper, where the authors provide an overview of previously and recently proposed metrics as well as rules of thumb for evaluating the research results based on the application of PLSSEM.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Partial Least Squares Latent Variable Modeling Approach for Measuring Interaction Effects: Results from a Monte Carlo Simulation Study and an Electronic-Mail Emotion/Adoption Study

TL;DR: A new latent variable modeling approach is provided that can give more accurate estimates of interaction effects by accounting for the measurement error that attenuates the estimated relationships.
