TL;DR: The trial was designed to determine whether ductal lavage is non-inferior to oral corticosteroids (1-year cCR rate assumed to be 90%), with a non- inferiority margin of 15%.
Journal ArticleDOI
Frequency of Calcific Aortic Stenosis in Tertiary Care Hospital of Karachi
TL;DR: In elderly calcific aortic stenosis, as the age advances it is an important cause of cardiovascular mortality and morbidity and constitutes a significant health problem.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sameer Bhattarai,Ishory Bhusal +1 more
TL;DR: There are certain advantages of laparoscopic cholecystectomy over open choleCystectomy such as earlier return of bowel functions, less postoperative pain, better cosmoses and short hospital stay, earlierReturn of function and less cost.

Neuroendocrine Tumors of the Pancreas
TL;DR: Although tumor origin and molecular pathogenesis remain poorly understood, recently established grading and staging systems facilitate patient risk stratification, and thereby directly impact clinical decision making, surgery remains the only curative treatment for early-stage disease.

Hui Huang,Jame Abraham,Elizabeth Hung,Steven D. Averbuch,Maria J. Merino,Seth M. Steinberg,Karel Pacak,Tito Fojo +7 more
TL;DR: A long‐term follow‐up was conducted of 18 patients with a diagnosis of pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma treated with a combination of cyclophosphamide, vincristine, and dacarbazine (CVD).
Journal ArticleDOI
Inflammatory mechanisms contributing to pancreatic cancer development.
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that similar inflammatory components and downstream effectors are present in CP and pancreatic cancers, and suggest that a common pathway for pancreatic cancer development may be through a chronic inflammatory process including stroma formation.
