Abstract
This paper reviews recent developments of non-contact three-dimensional (3D) surface metrology using an active structured optical probe. We focus primarily on those active non-contact 3D surface measurement techniques that could be applicable to the manufacturing industry. We discuss principles of each technology, and its advantageous characteristics as well as limitations. Towards the end, we discuss our perspectives on the current technological challenges in designing and implementing these methods in practical applications.

Motion induced error reduction methods for phase shifting profilometry: A review

TL;DR: This paper reviews the various state-of-the-art motion-induced error reduction methods for 3D shape measurement using phase shifting profilometry and conducts experiments to compare the potential of different algorithms in compensating the motion- induced errors.

Anaerobic digestion in the elimination of antibiotics and antibiotic-resistant genes from the environment – A comprehensive review

TL;DR: Anaerobic membrane bioreactor (AnMBR) is the most productive technology for antibiotics and mesophilic and thermophilic anaerobic digesters are exceptional in eliminating major ARGs from both biosolids (sludge) and manure.

Three-dimensional Shape Reconstruction from Single-shot Speckle Image Using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks

TL;DR: A novel 3D shape reconstruction technique that employs an end-to-end deep convolutional neural network to transform a single speckle-pattern image into its corresponding 3D point cloud is presented.

Polarization-Dependent All-Dielectric Metasurface for Single-Shot Quantitative Phase Imaging.

TL;DR: In this paper, a single polarization-dependent all-dielectric metasurface is proposed to facilitate the simultaneous recording of two images, which are utilized in phase calculation based on the transport-of-intensity equation.

A flexible new technique for camera calibration

TL;DR: A flexible technique to easily calibrate a camera that only requires the camera to observe a planar pattern shown at a few (at least two) different orientations is proposed and advances 3D computer vision one more step from laboratory environments to real world use.

Occurrence of the potent mutagens 2- nitrobenzanthrone and 3-nitrobenzanthrone in fine airborne particles

TL;DR: In the present study, 2-NBA, 3-NBA and selected PAHs and Nitro-PAHs were determined in fine particle samples collected in a bus station and an outdoor site, showing low cancer risk incidence and incremental lifetime cancer risk (ILCR) calculated for both places.
