Stimuli-responsive molecular brushes
TLDR
In this paper, the authors review the general aspects of molecular brushes and polymeric responsive systems and highlight the rational approaches to induce stimuli-responsiveness in molecular brush systems, which are unique for molecular brushes since these conformational changes can be restricted to a single molecule.About:

Tunable assembly and disassembly of responsive supramolecular polymer brushes
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the synthesis and assembly of light-responsive supramolecular polymer brushes based on the host-guest interaction between β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) on star-like side chains and azobenzene groups on a polymer backbone.

Confined Microenvironments from Thermoresponsive Dendronized Polymers.
TL;DR: Formation of confined microenvironments from stimuli-responsive dendronized polymers carrying densely dendritic oligoethylene glycols (OEGs) moieties in their pendants is presented and the switchable encapsulation and release of guests can be greatly enhanced when these dendrons are used as major constituents for fabricating bulk hydrogels or nanogels, which provide a higher-level confinement.

Living free-radical polymerization by reversible addition - Fragmentation chain transfer: The RAFT process
John Chiefari,Y. K. Chong,Frances Ercole,Julia Krstina,Justine Leigh Jeffery,Tam P. T. Le,Roshan T. A. Mayadunne,Gordon Francis Meijs,Catherine Louise Moad,Graeme Moad,Ezio Rizzardo,San H. Thang +11 more
TL;DR: The authors proposed a reversible additive-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) method for living free-radical polymerization, which can be used with a wide range of monomers and reaction conditions and in each case it provides controlled molecular weight polymers with very narrow polydispersities.
