Nickel manganese succinato-hydrazinate (NiMn2(C4H4O4)3·6N2H4) has been synthesized for the first time by a novel precursor technique and characterized by IR, AAS and XRD as discussed by the authors.Abstract:
Nickel manganese succinato-hydrazinate (NiMn2(C4H4O4)3·6N2H4), has been synthesized for the first time by a novel precursor technique and characterized by IR, AAS and XRD. Thermal decomposition of the compound was studied from room temperature (rT) to 800°C by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric (TG) analysis besides isothermal mass loss studies. The compound was found to decompose autocatalytically, once ignited. TG-DSC shows two steps decomposition i.e. dehydrazination followed by decarboxylation. The infrared spectral studies show the N–N stretching frequency at 972 cm–1 suggesting a bidentate bridging structure of hydrazine molecule in (NiMn2(C4H4O4)3·6N2H4).read more

Isomorphic metal malonates with N-aminoguanidine: MCo2O4 (M = Ni & Zn) nanoparticle synthesis via a (AmgH)2[M1/3Co2/3(mal)2(H2O)2] precursor solid solution
TL;DR: In this paper, the crystal and molecular structures of both cobalt and nickel compounds were isomorphic, crystallizing in the triclinic space group P. The complexes exhibit similar modes of endo-followed by exothermic decomposition to produce respective metal oxides below 550 °C.

Catalysed thermal decomposition of KClO3 and carbon gasification
TL;DR: In this paper, the catalytic decomposition of KClO3 was studied in the presence of MnO2, activated carbons and sodium sulphide, and it was observed that the MnO 2 catalyst decreases the decomposition temperature from 480 to 350°C, while activated carbon carbons cause its decomposition at 320-325°C.
