X-ray screening identifies active site and allosteric inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 main protease.

Sebastian Günther, +103 more
- 07 May 2021 -
TL;DR: In this article, a high-throughput x-ray crystallographic screen of two repurposing drug libraries against the SARS-CoV-2 main protease (Mpro), which is essential for viral replication, was performed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Origin and temperature dependence of radiation damage in biological samples at cryogenic temperatures

TL;DR: It is shown that hydrogen gas, formed inside the sample during irradiation, rather than intramolecular bond cleavage between non-hydrogen atoms, is mainly responsible for the loss of high-resolution information and contrast in diffraction experiments and microscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Status of the crystallography beamlines at PETRA III

TL;DR: In this article, three beamlines for macromolecular crystallography are available to users at the third-generation synchrotron PETRA III in Hamburg: P11, P13 and P14, the latter two operated by EMBL.
