Mass balance of the Antarctic ice sheet from 1992 to 2017.

Andrew Shepherd, +82 more
- 14 Jun 2018 -
TL;DR: This work combines satellite observations of its changing volume, flow and gravitational attraction with modelling of its surface mass balance to show that the Antarctic Ice Sheet lost 2,720 ± 1,390 billion tonnes of ice between 1992 and 2017, which corresponds to an increase in mean sea level of 7.6‚¬3.9 millimetres.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reconstructions of the 1900–2015 Greenland ice sheet surface mass balance using the regional climate MAR model

TL;DR: In this article, the authors study the recent Greenland ice sheet (GrIS) surface mass balance (SMB) decrease relative to the last century, and they have forced the regional climate MAR (Modele Atmospherique Regional; version 3.5.2) model with the ERA-Interim (ECMWF Interim Re-Analysis; 1979-2015), ERA-40 (1958-2001), NCEP-NCARv1 (National Centers for Environmental Prediction-National Center for Atmospheric Research Reanalysis version 1; 1948−2015), N CEP-

ISMIP6 Antarctica: a multi-model ensemble of the Antarctic ice sheet evolution over the 21st century

Helene Seroussi, +51 more
- 17 Sep 2020 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present results from ice flow model simulations from 13 international groups focusing on the evolution of the Antarctic ice sheet during the period 2015-2100 as part of the Ice Sheet Model Comparison for CMIP6 (ISMIP6).
