Synthesis of highly functionalised spiro-indoles by a halogen atom transfer radical cyclization

TL;DR: The halogen atom transfer radical cyclization (HATRC) has been evaluated on N-(indolylmethyl)trichloroacetamides under Cu(I)Cl catalysis using nitrogen containing ligands.
Journal ArticleDOI

Extraction and Esterification of Low‐Titer Short‐Chain Volatile Fatty Acids from Anaerobic Fermentation with Ionic Liquids

TL;DR: Extraction and esterification can be tailored using mixed-anion ionic liquids; this is demonstrated herein using a common trihexyl(tetradecyl)phosphonium cation and a mixed chloride and bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide anion ions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient and catalyst-free condensation of acid chlorides and alcohols using continuous flow

TL;DR: In this article, an efficient, catalyst-free continuous flow procedure for the condensation of acid chlorides and alcohols was developed, which is performed solventless for liquid reagents but requires a solvent for solid reagents in order to prevent clogging of the microreactor.

Anti-invasive compounds

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for predicting the anti-invasive activity of chalcone-like compounds was proposed. But this method is not suitable for the use in the prevention and/or treatment of diseases associated with undesired cell invasion.
Journal ArticleDOI

A New Entry into 2-Azabicyclo[2.1.1]hexanes via 3-(Chloromethyl)cyclobutanone

TL;DR: In this article, the skeleton of 2,4-methanoproline (a naturally occurring insect antifeedant) was synthesized by imination of the previously unknown 3-(chloromethyl)cyclobutanone and subsequent reductive cyclization.
