Journal ArticleDOI
Treatment options in massive pulmonary embolism during pregnancy; a case-report and review of literature.
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe a 34-year old, pregnant female, who presented at 25 weeks of gestation with an acute collapse with reduced consciousness and shortness of breath caused by massive pulmonary embolism.
Journal ArticleDOI
CMV-specific CD8(+) T-cell function is not impaired in chronic lymphocytic leukemia
Doreen te Raa,Maria Fernanda Pascutti,Juan J. Garcia-Vallejo,Emilie Reinen,Ester B. M. Remmerswaal,Ineke J. M. ten Berge,René A. W. van Lier,Eric Eldering,Marinus H. J. van Oers,Sanne H. Tonino,Arnon P. Kater +10 more
TL;DR: It is shown here that CLL-derived CMV-specific CD8(+) T cells display lower expression of exhaustion markers and are functionally intact, indicating that the changes in the T-cell compartment in CLL may be more heterogeneous than presently assumed.
Journal ArticleDOI
COVID-19 severity and mortality in patients with CLL: an update of the international ERIC and Campus CLL study.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the impact of CLL-directed treatments on the course of Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and found that patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) may be more susceptible to the disease due to age, disease, and treatment-related immunosuppression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Targeted resequencing for analysis of clonal composition of recurrent gene mutations in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.
Alexander Jethwa,Jennifer Hüllein,Tatjana Stolz,Carolin Blume,Leopold Sellner,Leopold Sellner,Anna Jauch,Martin Sill,Arnon P. Kater,Doreen te Raa,Christian H. Geisler,Marinus H. J. van Oers,Sascha Dietrich,Peter Dreger,Anthony D. Ho,Anna Paruzynski,Manfred Schmidt,Christof von Kalle,Hanno Glimm,Thorsten Zenz,Thorsten Zenz +20 more
TL;DR: A next‐generation sequencing platform is developed to determine the genetic profile, intratumoural heterogeneity, and clonal structure of two independent CLL cohorts and finds evidence for subclonal mutations in 67·5% of CLL cases with mutations of cancer consensus genes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clonal diversity predicts adverse outcome in chronic lymphocytic leukemia
Alexander C. Leeksma,Justin Taylor,Bian Wu,Bian Wu,Jeffrey Gardner,Jie He,Michelle Nahas,Mithat Gonen,Wendimagegn Ghidey Alemayehu,Doreen te Raa,Tatjana Walther,Jennifer Hüllein,Sascha Dietrich,Rainer Claus,Rainer Claus,Fransien de Boer,Koen de Heer,Julie Dubois,Maria Dampmann,Jan Dürig,Marinus H. Zelenetz,Thorsten Zenz,Thorsten Zenz,Omar Abdel-Wahab,Arnon P. Kater +33 more
TL;DR: The data extend earlier findings that specific genomic alterations and diversity of subclones are associated with disease progression and persistence of disease in CLL and identify novel recurrently mutated genes and associated outcomes.
