Cytogenetic complexity in chronic lymphocytic leukemia: definitions, associations, and clinical impact

TL;DR: A novel hierarchical model is proposed in which patients with high-CK exhibit the worst prognosis, whereas those with mutated CLL lacking CK or TP53abs, as well as CK with +12,+19, show the longest overall survival.
Journal ArticleDOI

Higher-order connections between stereotyped subsets: implications for improved patient classification in CLL.

Andreas Agathangelidis, +86 more
- 11 Mar 2021 -
TL;DR: It is reported that the stereotyped fraction of CLL peaks at 41% of the entire cohort and that all 19 previously identified major subsets retained their relative size and ranking, while 10 new ones emerged; overall, major stereotyped subsets had a cumulative frequency of 13.5%.
Journal ArticleDOI

COVID-19 severity and mortality in patients with CLL: an update of the international ERIC and Campus CLL study.

Thomas Chatzikonstantinou, +116 more
- 01 Nov 2021 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the impact of CLL-directed treatments on the course of Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and found that patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) may be more susceptible to the disease due to age, disease, and treatment-related immunosuppression.
