TL;DR: Data collected demonstrate that there is a strong association between GBA mutations and Parkinson's disease, and those with a GBA mutation presented earlier with the disease, were more likely to have affected relatives, and were morelikely to have atypical clinical manifestations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impaired migration capacity in monocytes derived from patients with Gaucher disease.
Noam Bettman,Irit Avivi,Irit Avivi,Hanna Rosenbaum,Hanna Rosenbaum,Lina Bisharat,Tamar Katz,Tamar Katz +7 more
TL;DR: Reduced numbers and impaired migration capacity of GD-derived monocytes could contribute to abnormal inflammation and GD-associated immune alterations seen in these patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Amiodarone-Associated Granuloma in Bone Marrow
TL;DR: The temporal relationship between the amiodarone therapy and the development of two cases of asymptomatic bone marrow granuloma suggest the possibility that this antiarrhythmic agent is involved in the etiology of these granulomas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Azacitidine-lenalidomide (ViLen) combination yields a high response rate in higher risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS)—ViLen-01 protocol
Moshe Mittelman,Moshe Mittelman,Kalman Filanovsky,Yishai Ofran,Hanna Rosenbaum,Pia Raanani,Andrei Braester,Neta Goldschmidt,Ilya Kirgner,Ilya Kirgner,Yair Herishanu,Yair Herishanu,Chava Perri,Chava Perri,Martin Ellis,Martin Ellis,Howard S. Oster,Howard S. Oster +17 more
TL;DR: This trial with elderly HR-MDS patients with an expected poor prognosis demonstrates a high response rate and a reasonable expected safety profile but a relatively short PFS and OS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Severe pancytopenia due to marked marrow fibrosis associated with angioimmunoblastic lymphadenopathy.
TL;DR: A patient with angioimmunoblastic lymphadenopathy (AILD) remained in remission for 25 months following treatment with prednisone, but relapsed following reuse of oxprenolol hydrochloride, leading to a fatal outcome.
