Identification of novel risk loci, causal insights, and heritable risk for Parkinson's disease: a meta-analysis of genome-wide association studies

Mike A. Nalls, +248 more
- 01 Dec 2019 -
TL;DR: These data provide the most comprehensive survey of genetic risk within Parkinson's disease to date, providing a biological context for these risk factors, and showing that a considerable genetic component of this disease remains unidentified.
Journal ArticleDOI

Association of the APOE-ε4 allele with outcome of traumatic brain injury in children and youth: a meta-analysis and meta-regression

TL;DR: Cumulative evidence is provided that the APOE-ε4 allele is important to the prognosis of paediatric TBI, but may have a different effect compared with adult TBI; moreover, this effect may be time dependent.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tissue-specific sex differences in human gene expression.

TL;DR: Observations suggest that androgen and estrogen regulatory elements in a cis region may play a common role in sex-differences in gene expression, but TSSD in genes expression may additionally be due to causal variants located in tissue-specific enhancer regions.
