The assessment of optimistic self-beliefs : Comparison of the German, Spanish, and Chinese versions of the general self-efficacy scale
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared the verions that were examined in samples of 430 German, 959 Costa Rican, and 293 Chinese university students, and found that the unidimensional nature of the scale was replicated in all samples.

Indigenous Chinese Personality Constructs Is the Five-Factor Model Complete?
TL;DR: The universality and sufficiency of the five-factor model in the Chinese context were investigated in this paper, which showed that the six-factor models were superior to the five factor models and that the Interpersonal Relatedness scales could not be consistently explained by a combination of the Big Five factors.

Development of the Chinese Personality Assessment Inventory
TL;DR: In this article, a combined "emic-etic" approach was adopted to develop an indigenous omnibus personality inventory for Chinese people, which consists of constructs selected specifically in consideration of the Chinese culture as well as scales covering personality constructs commonly found in English-language psychological tests.
