TL;DR: The Simons Observatory (SO) is a new cosmic microwave background experiment being built on Cerro Toco in Chile, due to begin observations in the early 2020s as mentioned in this paper.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
CCAT-Prime: science with an ultra-widefield submillimeter observatory on Cerro Chajnantor
Gordon J. Stacey,Manuel Aravena,Kaustuv Basu,Nick Battaglia,Benjamin Beringue,Frank Bertoldi,J. R. Bond,Patrick C. Breysse,Ricardo Bustos,Scott Chapman,Dongwoo T. Chung,Nicholas F. Cothard,J. Parshley,Dominik Riechers,Peter Schilke,Douglas Scott,George Stein,Jason R. Stevens,J. Stutzki,Eve M. Vavagiakis,Marco Viero +40 more
TL;DR: The CCAT-prime telescope as discussed by the authors is a large field-of-view (FoV) bolometer-based imager and a multi-beam sub-millimeter heterodyne spectrometer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dark Matter Interactions, Helium, and the Cosmic Microwave Background.
TL;DR: Using the existing CMB constraint on Y_{He}, a new upper limit on the fraction of tightly coupled dark matter, f_{TCDM}, is derived, of f_{ TCDM}<0.006 (95% C.I.) and the implications for model building, including millicharged dark matter are commented on.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transverse Velocities with the Moving Lens Effect.
Selim C. Hotinli,Joel Meyers,Neal Dalal,Andrew H. Jaffe,Matthew C. Johnson,Matthew C. Johnson,James B. Mertens,James B. Mertens,Moritz Münchmeyer,Kendrick M. Smith,Alexander van Engelen +10 more
TL;DR: It is shown that near-future CMB surveys and galaxy surveys will have the statistical power to make a first detection of the moving lens effect, and applications for the reconstructed transverse velocity are discussed.

TL;DR: The CMB-HD (Cosmic Microwave Background - Henry Draper catalog entry) survey as discussed by the authors was designed to provide a high-resolution view of half the sky, with frequencies in the range of 30 to 350 gigahertz.
