The MLL recombinome of acute leukemias in 2013

Claus Meyer, +86 more
- 30 Apr 2013 -
TL;DR: Long-distance inverse-polymerase chain reaction was used to characterize the chromosomal rearrangement of individual acute leukemia patients and revealed a total of 121 different MLL rearrangements, of which 79 TPGs are now characterized at the molecular level.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE New insights to the MLL recombinome of acute leukemias

TL;DR: The genetic network of reciprocal MLL gene fusions deriving from complex rearrangements is described for the first time, and the distribution of MLL breakpoints for clinical subtypes and fused translocation partner genes (TPGs) will be presented, including novel MLL fusion genes.
Journal ArticleDOI

New insights to the MLL recombinome of acute leukemias

TL;DR: In this paper, the distribution of MLL breakpoints for clinical subtypes (acute lymphoblastic leukemia, acute myeloid leukemia, pediatric and adult) and fused translocation partner genes (TPGs) were presented, including novel MLL fusion genes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evidence-based RT-PCR methods for the detection of the 8 most common MLL aberrations in acute leukemias.

TL;DR: RT-PCR methods for the reliable detection of the 8 most common MLL aberrations, together accounting for around 90% of MLL-r cases, are developed.
