TL;DR: 1 year of extended adjuvant therapy with neratinib, administered after chemotherapy and trastuzumab, significantly reduced the proportion of clinically relevant breast cancer relapses-ie, those that might lead to death, such as distant and locoregional relapses outside the preserved breast-without increasing the risk of long-term toxicity.

The VEGF-C/Flt-4 Axis Promotes Invasion and Metastasis of Cancer Cells

TL;DR: Examination of tumor tissues from various types of cancers revealed high levels of Flt-4 and VEGF-C expression that correlated closely with clinical metastasis and patient survival, suggesting that the VEGf-C/Flt-4 axis may regulate the invasive capacity in different types of cancer cells.

Breast Cancer Risk Associated with Genotype Polymorphism of the Estrogen-metabolizing Genes CYP17, CYP1A1, and COMT A Multigenic Study on Cancer Susceptibility

TL;DR: On the basis of comprehensive profiles of estrogen metabolism, this study supports the possibility that breast cancer can be initiated by estrogen exposure.
