Journal ArticleDOI
Click‐Based Synthesis and Proteomic Profiling of Lipstatin Analogues.
TL;DR: A small natural product-based library of lipstatin analogues (X) is synthesized and evaluated for cellular activity and protein specificity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Serum Lipidome Signatures of Dogs with Different Endocrinopathies Associated with Hyperlipidemia
Nadja S Sieber-Ruckstuhl,Wai Kin Tham,F. Baumgartner,Jeremy J. Selva,Markus R. Wenk,Bo Burla,Felicitas S Boretti +6 more
TL;DR: This study found so far unknown effects of naturally occurring hypothyroidism and CS on lipid metabolism in dogs and provides starting points to further examine differences in occurrence of atherosclerotic lesion formation between the two diseases.
Comparative Lipidomic Analysis of Mouse and Human Brain
Robin B. Chan,Tiago Gil Oliveira,Etty Cortes,Lawrence S. Honig,Karen Duff,Scott A. Small,Markus R. Wenk,Guanghou Shui,Gilbert Di Paolo +8 more
TL;DR: The lipidome of brain tissues affected by AD was determined and a significant increase in cholesterol esters and GM3 was recapitulated in the transgenic FAD models, suggesting that these mice are relevant tools to study aberrant lipid metabolism of endolysosomal dysfunction associated with AD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Decreased DHA-containing phospholipids in the neocortex of dementia with Lewy bodies are associated with soluble Aβ42 , phosphorylated α-synuclein, and synaptopathology.
Joyce R. Chong,Yuek Ling Chai,Huayang Xing,Deron R. Herr,Markus R. Wenk,Paul T. Francis,Clive Ballard,Dag Aarsland,David L. Silver,Christopher Chen,Amaury Cazenave-Gassiot,Mitchell Kim Peng Lai +11 more
TL;DR: In this article , post-mortem samples from the parietal cortex of 25 DLB patients and 17 age-matched controls were processed for phospholipidomics analyses using a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) platform.
