TL;DR: The results suggest that there has been gene flow between some Native Americans from both North and South America and groups related to East Asians and Australo-Melanesians, the latter possibly through an East Asian route that might have included ancestors of modern Aleutian Islanders.

Dating archaeobotanical remains: a cautionary tale from Port au Choix, Newfoundland
TL;DR: In this article, the first 14C dated archaeological seeds from the island of Newfoundland, Canada were recovered from a midden deposit adjacent to a small dwelling at Point Riche, a large Dorset Palaeoeskimo site near Port au Choix, northwestern Newfoundland.
