Abnormal homocysteine metabolism in rheumatoid arthritis.
Ronenn Roubenoff,Paul F. Dellaripa,Marie R. Nadeau,Leslie W. Abad,Bernadette A. Muldoon,Jacob Selhub,Irwin H. Rosenberg +6 more
TL;DR: Elevated tHcy levels occur commonly in patients with RA, and may explain some of the increased cardiovascular mortality seen in such patients, and studies of the prevalence and mechanism of hyperhomocysteinemia in RA are warranted.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical Profile of Anti-PL-12 Autoantibody: Cohort Study and Review of the Literature
Meena Kalluri,Steven A. Sahn,Chester V. Oddis,Suzanne L. Gharib,Lisa Christopher-Stine,Sonye K. Danoff,Livia Casciola-Rosen,Grace Hong,Paul F. Dellaripa,Kristin B. Highland +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the clinical profile of anti-PL-12, an antisynthetase autoantibody directed against alanyl-transfer RNA synthetase.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association of Granulomatosis With Polyangiitis (Wegener's) With HLA–DPB1*04 and SEMA6A Gene Variants: Evidence From Genome-Wide Analysis
Gang Xie,Delnaz Roshandel,Richard Sherva,Paul A. Monach,Emily Y. Lu,Tabitha N. Kung,Keisha Carrington,Steven S. Zhang,Sara L. Pulit,Stephan Ripke,Simon Carette,Paul F. Dellaripa,Jeffrey C. Siminovitch +32 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors carried out a genome-wide association study (GWAS) of 492 Wegener's patients and 1,506 healthy controls (white subjects of European descent), followed by replication analysis of the most strongly associated signals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Detection of Rheumatoid Arthritis–Interstitial Lung Disease Is Enhanced by Serum Biomarkers
Tracy J. Doyle,Avignat Patel,Hiroto Hatabu,Mizuki Nishino,Guodong Wu,Juan C. Osorio,Maria F. Golzarri,Andres Traslosheros,Sarah G. Chu,Michelle L. Frits,Christine K. Iannaccone,Diane Koontz,Carl R. Fuhrman,Michael E. Weinblatt,Souheil El-Chemaly,George R. Washko,Gary M. Hunninghake,Gary M. Hunninghake,Augustine M.K. Choi,Paul F. Dellaripa,Chester V. Oddis,Nancy A. Shadick,Dana P. Ascherman,Ivan O. Rosas +23 more
TL;DR: Clinical risk factors and autoantibodies are strongly associated with the presence of clinically evident and subclinical RA-ILD on computed tomography scan in two independent RA cohorts, and a biomarker signature composed of matrix metalloproteinase 7, pulmonary and activation-regulated chemokine, and surfactant protein D significantly strengthens this association.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of Functional and Expression Polymorphisms Associated With Risk for Antineutrophil Cytoplasmic Autoantibody-Associated Vasculitis.
Peter A. Merkel,Gang Xie,Paul A. Monach,Xuemei Ji,Dominic Ciavatta,Jinyoung Byun,Benjamin D. Pinder,Ai Zhao,Jinyi Zhang,Yohannes Tadesse,David C. Qian,Matthew T. Weirauch,Rajan P. Nair,A. Elder,Jia Qu,Toshiki Ochi,Naoto Hirano,Jeffrey C. Edberg,Ronald J. Falk,Christopher I. Amos,Katherine A. Siminovitch +43 more
TL;DR: To identify risk alleles relevant to the causal and biologic mechanisms of antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)–associated vasculitis (AAV) the objective was to establish a database of alleles related to these mechanisms.
