Science Requirements and Detector Concepts for the Electron-Ion Collider: EIC Yellow Report

R. Abdul Khalek, +411 more
TL;DR: The physics case, the resulting detector requirements, and the evolving detector concepts for the experimental program at the Electron-Ion Collider are described, providing the basis for a world-class experimental program that aims to increase the understanding of the fundamental structure of all visible matter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identified particle production, azimuthal anisotropy, and interferometry measurements in Au plus Au collisions at root s(NN)=9.2 GeV

B. I. Abelev, +382 more
- 01 Jan 2010 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the first measurements of identified hadron production, azimuthal anisotropy, and pion interferometry from Au + Au collisions below the nominal injection energy at the BNL Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider (RHIC) facility were presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Charged-particle multiplicity measurement in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 0.9 and 2.36 TeV with ALICE at LHC

K. Aamodt, +1052 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured charged particle pseudorapidity density at the LHC with the ALICE detector at centre-of-mass energies 0.9 TeV and 2.36 TeV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct photon production in Pb–Pb collisions at sNN=2.76 TeV

Jaroslav Adam, +979 more
- 10 Mar 2016 -
TL;DR: In this article, direct photon spectra down to pT≈1 GeV/c were extracted for the 20−40% and 0−20% centrality classes, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Centrality, rapidity and transverse momentum dependence of J/ψ suppression in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN= 2.76TeV

Betty Abelev, +945 more
- 27 May 2014 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the nuclear modification factor in Pb-Pb collisions at root(NN)-N-S = 2.76TeV and showed that a contribution to the nuclear modify factor originates from the charm quark (re) combination in the deconfined partonic medium.
