Journal ArticleDOI

Attenuation of class 3 and sinus node effects of amiodarone by experimental hypothyroidism.

TL;DR: It is concluded that intact thyroid function is a prerequisite for class III and sinus node effects of amiodarone in the guinea pig, implying that at least some of amioarone's effects are mediated through antagonism of thyroid action.
Journal Article

Interval-dependent effects of lidocaine on conduction in canine cardiac Purkinje fibers: experimental observations and theoretical analysis.

TL;DR: The observations suggest that the time dependence of drug effects on conduction in vivo can be analyzed quantitatively in relationship to observations on Vmax in vitro, and calculations using this model suggest that recovery from moderate drug-induced conduction slowing should proceed with a time course similar to changes in Vmax.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sleep Apnea and Atrial Fibrillation.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors suggest that continuous positive airway pressure may help to maintain sinus rhythm after electrical cardioversion and improve catheter ablation success rates in patients with atrial fibrillation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inflammasome Signaling in Atrial Fibrillation: JACC State-of-the-Art Review.

TL;DR: In this article , the role of inflammasome signaling in atrial fibrillation (AF) pathogenesis was reviewed and novel therapeutic options in the management of AF were proposed.
