Targeting MicroRNA-208a to Suppress Adverse Postmyocardial Infarction Remodelling Related to RNA Activation of Endoglin Gene Expression
TL;DR: Very interesting findings are reported regarding miR208a changes and their potential significance in rats with Cardiology in the present issue of the Canadian Journal of Cardiology.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modulation of procainamide's effect on cardiac conduction in dogs by extracellular potassium concentration. A quantitative analysis.
TL;DR: Hyperkalemia strongly enhances procainamide-induced conduction slowing by increasing the interaction between the drug and sodium channels during the rested phase of the cardiac cycle, indicating the applicability of basic molecular theories of antiarrhythmic drug action to understanding drug-induced changes in conduction velocity in vivo.
Journal ArticleDOI
Are all sodium channel blockers created equal? Clinical-basic correlations based on observations in Brugada syndrome.
Journal ArticleDOI
Combining distinctive and novel loci doubles BP reduction, reverses diastolic dysfunction and mitigates LV hypertrophy.
Kimberley Crespo,Cristina Chauvet,Annie Ménard,Julie Roy,Yanfen Shi,Danielle Gelinas,Francine Duval,Nathalie L'Heureux,Stanley Nattel,Jean-Claude Tardif,Alan Y. Deng +10 more
TL;DR: Novel long-term strategies of prognosis, diagnosis and therapy for hypertensive DHF appear from this work, which combined multiple QTLs by integrating several ‘single’ congenic strains that synergistically lowered BP and permanently alleviated or reversed diastolic dysfunction.
