Oxygen Partial Pressure during Pulsed Laser Deposition: Deterministic Role on Thermodynamic Stability of Atomic Termination Sequence at SrRuO3/BaTiO3 Interface
Yeong Jae Shin,Lingfei Wang,Yoonkoo Kim,Ho-Hyun Nahm,Daesu Lee,Jeong Rae Kim,Sang Mo Yang,Jong-Gul Yoon,Jin-Seok Chung,Miyoung Kim,Seo Hyoung Chang,Tae Won Noh +11 more
TL;DR: It is found that a uniform SrO-TiO2 termination sequence at the SRO/BTO interface can be achieved by lowering the PO2 to 5 mTorr, regardless of the total background gas pressure, growth mode, or growth rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nondestructive spectroscopic method to detect MnAs metallic nanocrystals in annealed GaAs:Mn
Sung Seok A. Seo,Tae Won Noh,Young-Woon Kim,J. D. Lim,Yun Daniel Park,Y. S. Kim,Z. G. Khim,H. C. Jeon,T. W. Kang,Stephen J. Pearton +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, an optical spectroscopic method was proposed to monitor NiAs-type MnAs (α-MnAs) nanocrystals in (Ga,Mn)As diluted magnetic semiconductors.

Emergence of robust 2D skyrmions in SrRuO3 ultrathin film without the capping layer
Byungmin Sohn,Bongju Kim,Se Young Park,Hwan Young Choi,Jae Young Moon,Taeyang Choi,Young Jai Choi,Tae Won Noh,Hua Zhou,Seo Hyoung Chang,Jung Hoon Han,Changyoung Kim +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, a few-layer SRO was used for skyrmion formation in a few layers of SrRuO3 grown on a SrTiO3 substrate without the heavy-metal capping layer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stabilization of ferromagnetic ordering in cobaltite double perovskites of La2CoIrO6 and La2CoPtO6
Min-Cheol Lee,Changhee Sohn,So Yeon Kim,Kyungdong Lee,Choongjae Won,Namjung Hur,Jooyun Kim,Deok-Yong Cho,Tae Won Noh +8 more
TL;DR: The details of the mechanism of ferromagnetic ordering in the Co(2+) sublattice in La2CoIrO6 and the lack thereof in La 2CoPtO6 are explained in terms of the orbital hybridization of the Co minority-spin t(2g) state and the Ir/Pt j(eff) = 1/2 state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Surface structures of a Co-doped anatase TiO2 (001) film investigated by scanning tunneling microscopy
TL;DR: The surface structure of an anatase Ti0.94Co0.06O2 (001) film, grown epitaxially on a Nb-doped SrTiO3 (001), was investigated using in situ scanning tunneling microscopy as mentioned in this paper.
